Painting Workshop
"Figure in the Interior"

Instruction will focus on painting from the model to create strong composition and design. Carefully arranged interior settings, costume and lighting provide dramatic elements to draw from to create mood and atmosphere. The instructor will focus on proportion, linear design, accurate values, temperature, edges, and color harmony. She will discuss posing and lighting models, pictorial design, and anything else students wish pertinent to the model. Students will learn to simplify shapes and translate how light models the anatomy. Tuition: $745 for 5 classes, includes model fee.

Plein Air Painting Workshops
in Laguna Beach

This class is open to all levels of painters. It will provide a foundation for learning to paint “on location.” Emphasis will be on composition and design, color mixing, and simplifying shapes and values. Location: Laguna Beach, CA.
